Sean Lemmens is set for a new role in 2021, he’s been training with the defensive group at Gold Coast in the pre-season.
Lemmens has played most of his footy with Gold Coast as a half/small forward type, the switch to a half-back running type role will increase the depth at that position for the Suns this season.

“Sean Lemmens has been training down back and played there today so we feel like we’re building a really strong group and that’s important because we’re going to need more than 6 or 7 throughout the year.” Suns Assistant Coach Josh Drummond.
Lemmens has played just 23 games in the last 3 years at Gold Coast.

Lemmens averaged 40.4pts from 5 games in 2020, he scored a season high 45pts in Round 1.
Lemmens has the skill set to play the role across half-back at Gold Coast, but he’s in a strong battle against quality players at the position this season.
There’s no guarantee of consistent games at this stage.
