“Sam Powell-Pepper hurt himself at training as well, where he has broken a minor bone in his hand, which was significantly swollen,”
“We had to release that from a surgical standpoint.”
“Unfortunately, Sam will miss the next couple of games, which I imagine puts him behind the eight ball for round one but it’s just something we’ll have to deal with when it comes.” Chris Davies.
Powell-Pepper played all 19 games for the Power in 2020.

AFL FANTASY TAKE
Powell-Pepper averaged 57.5pts from 19 games in 2020, he scored a season high 87pts in Round 13 against Hawthorn.
In 2020 Powell-Pepper was used at 37.9% of centre bounces, this was ranked 4th at Port Adelaide.
If he were to miss Round 1 or early games of the 2021 season that usage would be distributed to other players, Connor Rozee is expected to see an increase in midfield usage this season.

Powell-Pepper is a pass in AFL Fantasy classic, he doesn’t quite have the scoring output to be a viable option especially when he’s already priced around his likely average.
He’s also a pass in 10 team standard draft leagues.
