Cam Rayner will miss the 2021 season, he sustained a knee injury on Monday against Gold Coast in the AAMI Community Series.
Brisbane confirmed on Tuesday he ruptured his ACL, he is set to undergo surgery in the upcoming weeks.

Brisbane GM of Football Danny Daly provided an update on Tuesday.
“He will see a surgeon in the coming weeks and we will then lay out the next steps from there.
“Our thoughts are with Cam and we will wrap our arms around him and continue to support him as he gets on with his recovery.” Daly said.

Rayner averaged 51.5pts from 17 games in 2020, he scored a season high 81pts against Gold Coast in Round 16.
Hopefully he fully recovers in time for the start of the 2022 H&A season.
The Rayner injury provides a long term opportunity in the Brisbane team, senior coach Chris Fagan spoke highly of Ely Smith & Harry Sharp on Monday night.
Brisbane: "It was a bit of a tough side to make (tonight), our midfield is quite strong at the moment.. he's made big strides forward.. he's not too far away, I think he'll get his chance at some point in time"

Rayner was set to see an increase in midfield usage this season, Zac Bailey is also likely to see an increase of inside midfield usage this year.
Rayner is a pass in all draft formats.
