Injury Update: James Frawley

James Frawley has been sidelined with a hamstring injury, he pulled up quickly in the first quarter of the AAMI Community series game against Carlton on Thursday night. 

Frawley is expected to miss 8-10 weeks, surgery is not required.

“He’s been moving really well over the pre-season, building strength back into his legs after a few niggles late last year.”

“Surgery isn’t an option for his specific injury, so James will work closely with our medical and strength & conditioning teams throughout his rehab.” Saints COO Simon Lethlean.

Frawley moved to the Saints in the off-season.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

Frawley averaged 32.0pts from 14 games in 2020 for Hawthorn, he scored a season high 45pts against Geelong in Round 2. 

The injury to Frawley may open the door for Tom Highmore early in the season, Jake Carlisle is also on the radar to return to a defensive key position spot in the team.
