Injury Update: Michael Frederick

Michael Frederick will be sidelined for an extended period, he injured his calf against West Coast on Sunday in the AAMI Community Series.

Frederick may miss up to the opening 3 games of the season per @FootyRhino.

As reported by @jordan_mc12, another injury for @freodockers. Michael Frederick has a calf strain. Looking at 3 weeks sidelined. Was one of the Dockers best on Sunday.

Frederick was excellent on Sunday against the Eagles, he recorded 17 Disposals & kicked 2 Goals. 

Fremantle are likely to provide an update on his rehabilitation progress in the upcoming period.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

Frederick averaged 30.6pts from 10 games in 2020, he scored a season high 45pts against Hawthorn in Round 11.

Frederick scored 100pts against the Eagles on Sunday, he played on the outside in a wing type role stretching between forward & defence.

Many would have been interested in Frederick due to his low salary to begin the season in AFL Fantasy classic, his injury now removes any type of ownership. 

His previous low ceiling is definitely a concern, that might restrict his cash generation slightly compared to others at a lower salary. 

Frederick is a pass in 10 team standard draft leagues.
