Dylan Shiel will be sidelined for an extended period, he injured his knee in the last quarter against Port Adelaide in Round 2.
Shiel has sustained damage to his meniscus.Â

“The decision was made to go in for surgery for last Tuesday. In the end, the meniscal tear was quite significant, and the decision was made to repair the meniscal tear.”Â

Shiel recorded 17 Disposals in Round 1.

Shiel scored 79pts in Round 1, he was used at 76.7% of centre bounces.
The injury will likely result in high centre bounce usage for Darcy Parish, Zach Merrett & Andrew McGrath over the coming weeks.
Jye Caldwell is also sidelined with a hamstring injury.Â
