Constable speaking in an interview on RSN earlier this week said there would be a secondary role for him at Gold Coast, that role would be across half-back.
His primary role would still remain as a midfielder, he will look to break into the Gold Coast team early in the 2022 H&A season.
“They certainly talked about a second position as well, I played a lot of half-back in my juniors.”
“Excited to try & add that to my game a little bit & not just be an inside mid.”
“Certainly the main thing will be as an inside mid.. if I can have a good pre-season & play some good early games.” Constable said.

Constable averaged 12.3 Disposals, 4.3 Marks & 1.3 Tackles from 3 games for Geelong in 2021.
Fantasy Impact: Charlie Constable will be in a battle to secure a position in the Gold Coast midfield over pre-season, Stuart Dew has plenty of depth to choose from in the lead up to Round 1.
The scoring output for Constable could be strong at the Suns, that would likely be linked to the midfield/half-back role.
Constable is a consideration at Round 1 in season long fantasy, but his role needs to be absolutely secure otherwise it could present an issue.
He’s worth a late round flyer in single season draft leagues with potential upside in scoring, again that role needs to be locked in.
