Fremantle will be patient with Nat Fyfe, he is currently progressing in the rehabilitation group during the initial stages of pre-season.
He has undergone multiple shoulder surgeries since his season ended in 2021, he also encountered an infection that required further treatment & rest.
Fyfe recently said he’ll be in “full contact and ready for round one”, senior coach Justin Longmuir tempered expectations on his availability.

Longmuir provided an update on the progress of Fyfe during his press conference this week.
“So much gets made of Round 1,”
aflratings.com.au “I’m really confident Fyfey will play a significant part of the season & be a great captain & a great player like he always has been.”
“Whether that’s Round 1 or Round 2, we don’t need to put a date on it & we don’t need to put that pressure on him.”
“What we need to do is make sure we rehab it right, so once he’s back, he’s back for good.”
“I think it’s been well documented he’s got a lot of work ahead of him, but knowing him he’ll be willing to put in the work.” Longmuir said.
Fyfe averaged 24.1 Disposals, 3.9 Marks & 4.1 Tackles from 15 games in 2021.

It is sounding like Fremantle are not going to roll out Fyfe in 2022 until he is absolutely ready, if he misses early games there will be midfield & centre bounce opportunities available.
Keep updated on his progress in order to potentially take advantage of this situation.
Fyfe is still likely an avoid for season long fantasy at Round 1, he is likely to have low ownership.
His ADP will still slide in single season draft leagues.
