Carlton Head of Football Brad Lloyd confirmed the news on Friday.

”It’s disappointing news for Liam but these experiences are part of footy and we know with his tremendous work ethic, he will throw everything into his rehabilitation over this next period,”

“Our AFL side is about to commence the three-week break over Christmas, so that will give Liam time to start his recovery from surgery.”

“We’ll assess his progress over the next few months and will have a clearer indication on when he will be available to play as we get close to the start of the season.” Lloyd said.

Stocker averaged 14.0 Disposals, 3.4 Marks & 2.2 Tackles from 17 games in 2021.

Fantasy Impact: Liam Stocker averaged 56.6pts from 17 games for Carlton in 2021, he scored a season high 77pts against GWS in Round 23.

The significant injury for Stocker will severely interrupted his pre-season, having a full or near full pre-season has proven to be critical for AFL players for the upcoming season.

Stocker really hasn’t provided a decent fantasy output over his career, under new senior coach Michael Voss his specific role may change.

Stocker is a pass in season long fantasy, he’s also a pass in single season draft leagues.
