Callum Coleman-Jones will likely play a mixed role in 2022.
The move across from Richmond in the off-season was made with the intention to see some time in the ruck at the Kangaroos and that should come to fruition in 2022.
Coleman-Jones (CCJ) will split time as a forward and ruck, this will provide an opportunity for Todd Goldstein to move forward at times and provide extra support for key forward Nick Larkey.
Nth Melbourne captain Jack Ziebell provided insight into the role for Coleman-Jones on SEN this week.

“He’s been really really impressive in his first pre-season.”
“He plays with real authority and loves crashing the pack and great intensity, so for a big guy I think his role I’m not 100% sure what the coaches are thinking but I think that he’ll split his time forward and ruck.”
“I think that’s really going to aid big Larks (Nick Larkey) as well because last year we were probably a tall short at times forward of the ball which made (Cam) Zurhaar play that second tall getting the second key defender.”
“This year I think if we can slip CCJ or big Goldy (Todd Goldstein) down there for parts as a second tall they’re going to be a real threat and a handful for a key defender as well and also help free up our third tall with the right defender playing on them.” Ziebell said.

Fantasy Impact: Callum Coleman-Jones averaged 57.8pts from 8 games for Richmond in 2021, he will split time as a ruck and forward in 2022.
The ruck setup likely negatively impacts Todd Goldstein while there is some upside scoring potential for Coleman-Jones based on his previous fantasy output.

There may not be enough opportunity at time spent in the ruck for Coleman-Jones to be a consideration in season long fantasy, he’s likely a pass.
It might be worth stashing him on your bench in single season draft leagues if something were to open up later in the year or his role evolves to be more time spent in the ruck position.
