St Kilda senior coach Brett Ratten has settled on a position for Josh Battle this season.
He will be playing in defence this year.
Ratten provided an update on the role for Battle on SEN this week.

“We’ve played Josh Battle down back again and just settled him down,”
“His ability to be 193 (cm) and play on a wing, play forward, play back, even second ruck he’s done really well but we’ve wanted to give him some clarity on what this season looks like and we’re going to play him down back.”
“He’s played predominantly with (Dougal) Howard and (Callum) Wilkie but (Tom) Highmore has had a really good pre-season as well.” he said.
Ratten added that the “last month has been really solid” for Darragh Joyce.
