AFL News: The dual ruck set up at GWS may be a feature this year.
Braydon Preuss and Matthew Flynn continue to work on becoming a strong ruck combination in the AFL, last week the pair played their first game together this season.
Preuss was used at 59.1% of centre bounces while Flynn was used at 40.9%.
GWS assistant coach Mark McVeigh provided insight on SEN this week into the ruck combination.

“The great thing about us is we played Matthew Flynn last week and Braydon Preuss both young ruckmen, up and coming,”
“They took 8 contested marks between them.” he said.
McVeigh also added that with the interrupted pre-season from Preuss and his early season suspensions it resulted in the pair only coming together last week which provided promising signs.
“All of a sudden now we’re playing them both and we’re actually starting to get some good stuff out of there (midfield).”
“So we think it’s a real positive for our group,”

“Matty Flynn can go forward and mark the footy as well.”
“We think it’s a real strength of ours that we can continue to build and will evolve over the year.” he said.
