Fantasy Impact: Tom McCallum will add depth to the Port Adelaide key defensive group.

He reads the play well and is strong in marking contests. He has the attributes to become an elite defender in the AFL.

The short term fantasy prospects are likely moderate, he had a late start to his first pre-season due to injury. The 2023 season could be used for development and to put on body size.

His long term prospects could be moderate, a key defensive role likely provides low and inconsistent scoring. A preferred role would be as an intercept defender for optimal fantasy scoring.

Season long fantasy: McCallum may be an option when available only if players at his salary range are limited. Inconsistent scoring may be an issue early in his career.

Single season draft leagues: He’s a pass in single season draft leagues.

DFS: He’ll be a consideration only at a low entry level salary.
