Payne will miss the remainder of the season with a confirmed ruptured patellar tendon (via Brisbane).

“It’s very unfortunate and tough to see Jack suffer this injury, particularly as he has been in almost career best form to start the season,” Daly said.

“Jack has shown before that he is incredibly resilient in overcoming injury, and we know he will do so again with a great medical team around him.

“Everyone at the Brisbane Lions, including our fans, are right behind Jack and his family and we will continue to support them on the road ahead.” Brisbane GM of Football Danny Daly.

Brisbane will likely provide updates during his rehabilitation period.
