AFLRATINGS NEWS: Richmond forward Taj Hotton will miss the start of the 2026 AFL H&A season.
He has been sidelined with a hip bone stress injury.

Hotton is expected to resume running in 6-8 weeks and available for selection in 4 months.
“Taj will begin modified weight bearing across the next 10 days to two weeks, before starting a slow progression back into running,”
“We anticipate that it will be approximately six to eight weeks before he is back running and possibly four months before he is available for selection.” Richmond High Performance Manager Ben Serpel.
Richmond play Carlton in their season opener on Thursday March 12 at the MCG.

Richmond will likely provide updates during his rehabilitation period.
Hotton averaged 12.7 disposals, 3.1 marks and 2.3 tackles from 7 games in 2025.
