Aiden Bonar has been traded to Nth Melbourne, he has played 6 games for GWS after being selected at Pick 11 in the 2017 AFL Draft.
“We value Aiden’s contribution on and off the field but understand his desire for more regular midfield opportunities in the immediate future.” GWS List Manager Jason McCartney.
Bonar averaged 9.5 Disposals, 2.5 Marks & 2.5 Tackles in 2019 for the Giants, he played in just 3 games.
“Aiden is a dynamic and super athletic player and he offers us a lot of flexibility.” North Melbourne coach Rhyce Shaw.

AFL FANTASY TAKE
Bonar has always been touted as a big bodied midfielder but hasn’t been given an opportunity in the Giants stacked midfield at AFL level, he has averaged 53.3pts from just 6 games over his career.
It is worth tracking Bonar over the summer due to the potential upside in 2020, his role needs to be clearly defined in a premium fantasy scoring position.
Bonar is a potential selection in classic but that scoring & job security must be clear in the pre-season, he is a late round selection as a flyer in draft.
