Melbourne Ruck Braydon Preuss injured his knee at training on Monday, as a result he underwent surgery on Tuesday afternoon.

Preuss is expected to be sidelined for 8-10 weeks.

“Unfortunately during training yesterday, Braydon landed awkwardly on his right knee, with scans revealing that he has sustained a medial meniscus tear”

“Braydon underwent surgery to his right knee on Tuesday afternoon. We felt this was the best course of action to prevent any further issues moving forward.” Demons GM of Football Operations, Josh Mahoney.

Preuss averaged 9.4 Disposals, 2.1 Marks & 19.1 Hit Outs from 7 games in 2019, he moved to the Demons at the end of 2018.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

The injury is not great timing for the Demons with Max Gawn (Knee) currently in the Rehab group, the opportunity for Luke Jackson to play earlier than expected for Melbourne may become a possibility but he is still raw & lightly framed.

Preuss is a pass in both classic & draft.
