Summary: After scores were tied at half-time St Kilda outscored the Hawks by 21pts in the second half, Max King showed signs for being a promising rookie but the scoring dried up dramatically after an initial burst in the first quarter.
As with most pre-season games the pressure will reduce at some stage, the Hawks rested Jaeger O’Meara at the main break as they started to heavily rotate through the midfield.
Tom Mitchell & Chad Wingard played limited minutes but showed enough to warrant selection early in the season, Mitchell attended a team high 62.5% of game centre bounces.
Ben McEvoy was injured in the early minutes of the game, he did not return.

Jack Billings started to find plenty of the ball in the second half, Tim Membrey was the standout scoring a game high 138pts.
Rowan Marshall split time with Paddy Ryder in the Ruck & moved forward in the last Qtr to allow game minutes for Ryan Abbott.
