Summary: Both teams were forced to hold on to the ball at times kicking into the wind at Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex, Port Adelaide finished the stronger winning by 21pts.
Dan Houston was used heavily through the midfield, he attended a team high 80% of centre bounces for a score of 95pts.
Travis Boak started slowly but he finished with a team high 111pts, he recorded 33 Disposals & 7 Tackles but also gave away 3 Free Kicks.
Justin Westhoff was used in the back-up Ruck role, he recorded 12 Disposals & 14 Hit Outs for 77pts.
Mitch Georgiades wasn’t able to kick any goals, he recorded just 9 Disposals & 2 Marks but the signs were there that he could score at a decent rate but inconsistency might be an issue early in his career.
Peter Ladhams was fine as No.1 Ruck, but he appeared to allow too many hit outs by Stef Martin that resulted in direct clearances. This may work against him as Round 1 selection approaches.

Lachie Neale was a stand out for the Lions, he finished with a game high 164pts in an effortless performance.
Hugh McCluggage was solid throughout, he split his time mostly between centre bounces and the wing.
The Lions gave Cam Ellis-Yolmen a fair run in the midfield, he attended 53.3% of centre bounces.
Stefan Martin provided silver service especially to Lachie Neale at centre bounces, stronger opposition may restrict his output the next time these teams meet in the H&A season.
Callum Ah-Chee wasn’t a ball winning player across half-back, he scored just 45pts from a high rate of minutes played.
Grant Birchall (43pts) was used at kick-ins, conditions made it difficult for defensive switches therefore his scoring rate suffered.
