Essendon defender Patrick Ambrose sustained an injury to his knee (PCL) in a practice match on Friday, he will be sidelined for an extended period of time.
Ambrose will consult a specialist in the coming days to further assess the injury.
“Scans have confirmed the views of our medical team that Paddy suffered an injury to his PCL during a marking contest in Friday’s practice match” GM of football Dan Richardson.

Ambrose played 20 games for the Bombers in 2019.
