Fremantle defender Hayden Young won’t play in the first Marsh Community Series game, it was feared an injury may have delayed his AFL debut.
Young has been sidelined from the main training group at times over the last week, Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir gave his explanation on radio Wednesday night.
“.. he’s out of action for just a couple of weeks so we can get some work into him”
“He won’t be available this weekend but we’ll look to get him going in the second Marsh Series game.” Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir.
Young may play in the second Marsh Community Series game on Saturday March 7th against West Coast, the game will be played at HBF Arena.

Young was selected at Pick 7 in the 2019 AFL Draft, he was drafted from the Dandenong Stingrays.

The ownership on Young is quite high, with 3 weeks to go until the start of the H&A season fantasy coaches would feel more comfortable if he played in the second Marsh Series game otherwise other options may need to be explored.
If named at Round 1 Young is a target in classic, he’s a late round selection in draft.
