Injury Update: Nat Fyfe

Fremantle midfielder Nat Fyfe will be sidelined for the short term, he injured his hamstring in the 3rd Qtr in Round 4 against Gold Coast.

Fyfe made his way to the sidelines after pulling up short from a chase, he did not return to the game after icing his hamstring.

Update 1 July: Fyfe has resumed running, however the timeline has now shifted from 1-2 weeks out to 2-3 games that will be missed.

“Somewhere around the 2-3 week mark, I do know that he was running really well yesterday” Dockers GM of Football Operations Peter Bell.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

The injury to Fyfe is not ideal for the Fremantle midfield that needs experience at stoppages, however this will open up increased opportunities for others including Caleb Serong who was impressive on debut in Round 4.

Fyfe is now a trade out in season long fantasy classic.
