Melbourne key forward Tom McDonald has been ruled out for Round 7, he sustained an eye injury last week against Gold Coast.
McDonald immediately left the ground & did not return.
The Demons will provide further updates as they come to hand.

“He’ll have a week off, we just need to make sure that we don’t do any further damage to that eye & make sure it’s fully recovered.” Melbourne senior coach Simon Goodwin.
McDonald averaged 9.3 Disposals, 3.8 Marks & 1.0 Goal prior to his injury in Round 6 this season.

The Demons will no doubt miss a key target forward against the Hawks this week, Sam Weideman played his first game of the season last week recording 7 Disposals, 3 Marks & 2 Goals.
Melbourne may opt to go smaller in the forward line without McDonald, Luke Jackson may see a recall to play his 2nd career game.
A Melbourne squad of 26 will be named on Thursday night.
