Geelong provided an update on Whyte post-draft.
Whyte is left-footed medium midfielder who is both tough in the contest and has a touch of flair.
Clean and composed in heavy traffic he’s able to use his speed to burst from stoppage and has the vision and foot skills to set up his forwards.

2022 AFL Fantasy: Charlie Constable
Whyte averaged 16.1 Disposals, 2.8 Marks & 4.7 Tackles from 11 games in the NAB League in 2021.
Fantasy Impact: Cooper Whyte will add depth to the small forward group at Geelong, he can also play through the midfield.
He’s elusive in traffic & quick at ground level, he can also hit the scoreboard.
The short term fantasy prospects for Whyte could be limited, a small forward role is likely his way into the Geelong team if there are any opportunities for him in 2022.
The long term prospects likely remain limited, if he remains in a small forward role primarily then his scoring output could be restricted & inconsistent. A move further up the ground would provide better scoring opportunities.
Whyte is likely a pass in season long fantasy at Round 1, it’s monitoring his progress at the lower level for specific role & scoring output.
He’s a pass in single season draft leagues, he’s a very late speculative option in dynasty leagues.
