Gold Coast National Recruiting Manager Kall Burns provided an update on Constable post-draft.
“He has shown his consistency at VFL level and with limited opportunity at AFL level in a strong midfield group at Geelong, he has demonstrated his ability to play at the top level when given the chance.
“Charlie is a strong ball-winner with great physicality and at 191cm he will complement our existing mix of midfielders well.” Burns said.

Constable averaged 12.3 Disposals, 4.3 Marks & 1.3 Tackles from 3 AFL games in 2021.
Fantasy Impact: Charlie Constable will add midfield depth to the Gold Coast list, he has an ability to accumulate disposals at a high rate playing through a midfield role.
He’s only 22 & has been durable over his career, he has excellent endurance playing through the middle of the ground.
The short term fantasy prospects for Constable should be quite good, any type of midfield role or even across half-back should provide a strong scoring output.
The long term fantasy prospects could be noteworthy, especially if he can fully establish himself inside the best 22 at the Suns.
Constable is a consideration for season long fantasy at Round 1, keep an eye on his specific role throughout pre-season in order to establish potential scoring output then weigh that up against his salary & roster build.
He’s an option in single season draft leagues, likely in that mid-late rounds.
