“Obviously I had surgery in September last year on my shoulder, just a bit of a clean-up.”

“Carried that throughout last year a bit,”

AFL News on Twitter @aflratings “I’ve been cleared just this
week to go full contact which is nice.”

“Groin wise, I’ve just been working with the physios and trying to get used to how my body what it likes and putting as much muscle on to deal with all the load I’ve got through my tendons.” Pedlar said.

He also provided insight into his role.

GAME DAY LIVE on Twitter @aflratings_Live “Eventually I want to become a
midfielder but playing up forward I’ve sort of done growing up as well,”

“While my body hasn’t been as flash it’s been good to learn some of my craft up forward as well as trying to get my head around all the mid stuff as well.”

“I’ve enjoyed it, got to get the games under my belt and let my body mature.”

“I’m sure it will decide itself, but I’m happy to play either.” He added.

AFL FANTASY NEWS

Fantasy Impact: Luke Pedlar played 2 games in 2021 averaging 33.0pts, his first year in the AFL system was impacted by injuries.

He has recently returned to full contact training after off-season shoulder surgery, he will be a battle to secure a role in the Adelaide team at Round 1 which now has very good depth through the midfield and forward area of the ground.

His scoring through a forward role would be volatile, a mid/forward or a pure mid role would be preferred for optimal scoring.

Pedlar will be a consideration in season long fantasy when he plays his first game of the season, his salary represents very good value.

He’s likely a pass in single season draft leagues.
