Adelaide Update: Jake Soligo

Jake Soligo could be on track for an early season debut.

This is according to Reilly O’Brien today on SENSA.

Soligo was taken at pick 36 in the 2021 AFL Draft by Adelaide, he was recruited from Eastern Ranges.

O’Brien was bullish that we could see the 19 year old early in the 2022 AFL H&A season.

“He’s going really really well.”

AFL News on Twitter @aflratings “I think he’s a big chance to play
early in the year on a wing or in the midfield.”

“Look out for him, he runs all day.”

“Similar to the Lachie Sholl mould and he’s really composed with the ball and he’s tough around the ball too.” O’Brien

Soligo averaged 22.6 Disposals, 6.0 Marks & 6.3 Tackles from 7 games in the NAB League in 2021.

AFL FANTASY NEWS

Fantasy Impact: A solid pre-season does provide optimism for an early season debut for Jake Soligo, he’s excellent through heavy traffic and clearance situations.

It is worth monitoring his game time in pre-season games which could point to an early season debut, his role if through a wing/midfield would also be noteworthy.

Adelaide do have good depth through the middle of the ground.

Soligo would be a consideration if he can make his AFL debut in season long fantasy, he’s likely to exceed value quite easily if given an extended run in the best 22.

He’s likely a late round speculative pick or a pass in single season draft leagues.
