Caleb Marchbank continues to build his training loads ahead of the 2022 AFL H&A season.
However there is no current timeline for a return.
Marchbank last played in 2019.
Carlton Head of Football Brad Lloyd provided the latest update on Marchbank via SEN today.
“He’s been doing a lot of running, he’s starting to just get into that ball program with skills and starting to build up his football work.”
“He’s had a really good preparation under our medical team and high performance team.”
“He’s building up pretty well.”
AFL News on Twitter @aflratings “We haven’t put an exact timeline on
it for Caleb,”
“Like he’ll have to sort of cover off on tick a few boxes with the medical team.”
“He’ll be important for us when he gets up and going.” Lloyd said.
Lloyd also provided an update on the fitness of Tom DeKoning (shoulder surgery).
“He’s been moving around at training, look he’s had the red vest on a little bit to avoid a bit of contact.”
“But he’s starting to add some more contact into his training, he’s building up pretty well actually.”
“He’s nearly back into the full program.” Lloyd added.
Fantasy Impact: Caleb Marchbank continues to build his training loads ahead of his return, he has missed a significant amount of football in the last 3 years.
The concern at this stage is that there is no current or estimated timeline for a return, any news ahead of the season needs to be consumed from a fantasy perspective.
Marchbank averaged 56.4pts from 13 games in 2019, he has a career season high average of 69.4pts in his first year at Carlton back in 2017.

Marchbank may be a consideration at Round 1 in season long fantasy, he needs to be absolutely ready to go without any doubt.
His starting salary does represent value and he will be best 22 at the Blues.
He’s a pass in single season draft leagues.
