De Koning will be monitored over the next month, that will include an assessment on his availability for the start of the season.

Carlton are likely to provide updates on his rehabilitation progress.

De Koning averaged 9.5 Disposals, 3.1 Marks, 2.0 Tackles & 16.9 Hit Outs from 13 games in 2021.

Fantasy Impact: Tom De Koning averaged 60.5pts from 13 games in 2021, he scored a season high 91pts in Round 17 against Geelong.

The setback isn’t ideal heading into the season despite being only minor surgery, let’s hope he returns to full health as quickly as possible.

It is worth tracking his availability prior to the start of the season.

De Koning is likely a pass now at Round 1 in season long fantasy unless a positive outlook is provided by Carlton, there is likely scoring upside available in 2022.

Slide him down slightly on your draft boards in single season draft leagues.
