There may be a limit on the number of games Jason Horne-Francis will play in his first AFL season.Â
The 2021 No.1 draft pick is set to make his debut for the Kangaroos but senior coach David Noble has stated he’s not sure how many games Horne-Francis will play this season.Â
Noble provided insight on Thursday night via Sportsday.Â

“He’s been allowed to develop at a faster pace than maybe some of the others (due to senior SANFL experience).”
“His ability to play at AFL level is obviously greater, how many games he may play we’re not quite sure yet,”

“We’re still going through what we’ll do with Round 1.”
“An then I think it’s just a matter of probably not over exposing those guys, there’s certainly an expectation that comes with that first round selection,”
“He’s embraced that, he wanted to be the No. 1 (pick), he enjoys having that additional pressure and so far I think he has coped with it extremely well.”
“We’ll certainly try to just shield him from time to time as to what that looks like,”
“But I think all the signs so far from his delivery of performance is that 1. he’s certainly got some capacity and then 2. we just need to work on his range of ability to get through a game or get through a number of games this year.” Noble said.
