Injury Update: Changkuoth Jiath

AFLRATINGS NEWS: Melbourne defender Changkuoth Jiath was assessed for a calf concern on Sunday.

He came from the ground in Q2 and did not return.

Jiath underwent further assessment to determine the severity of the injury.

He is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a low-grade groin strain (via Josh Gabelich).

“Unfortunately, CJ experienced some soreness in his calf during the game and was subsequently removed from play,”

“Scans have confirmed that he has suffered a low-grade soleus strain. He’ll now enter our rehab program, and we’ll further assess his availability in the coming days.” Melbourne High Performance Manager Selwyn Griffith.

Melbourne next play Gold Coast on Sunday April 5 at the MCG.  

Melbourne will likely provide an update in the upcoming period.
