Gillon McLachlan will stand down as CEO at the end of the season.
As reported initially in the AGE McLachlan called a press conference on Tuesday morning to announce his intention to resign.

He was appointed CEO of the AFL in 2014 succeeding Andrew Demetriou.
The search will begin for a replacement to take over at the end of the 2022 AFL season.
