Hollands is an athletic outside midfielder with strong endurance.

Carlton Head of List Management Nick Austin provided a brief update after Hollands was selected.

“He’s one of the best two-way runners in his draft class, as we saw in testing both pre- and post-season. He knows how to find the football and he can play a number of positions.”

“But first and foremost, Ollie is a competitor. He does whatever he can for his team and he leaves nothing to chance: he’s a strong character both on and off the field.” Austin said.

Hollands also averaged 23.3 disposals, 6.5 marks and 3.5 tackles from 4 games in the 2022 U18 National Championships.

Fantasy Impact: Oliver Hollands will add quality depth to the midfield at Carlton.

He is an athletic type with excellent endurance, he has outstanding game awareness and an ability to hit targets at a high rate.

The short term fantasy prospects are likely pretty decent, he will be competing for an outside midfield/wing type role in 2023. His fantasy scoring output should be solid in his first year.

His long term prospects are also quite good, he’ll likely secure a wing role for a long period of time at Carlton that should provide consistent fantasy scores.

Season long fantasy: Hollands is a consideration if he is named at Round 1, he’s likely to be used in a wing type role and should be able to exceed his opening salary comfortably.

Single season draft leagues: He’s likely a late round speculative option in single season draft leagues.

DFS: He’s likely to be a target early in the season especially at a low entry level salary.
