Fletcher is a highly competitive and measured midfielder.
Brisbane National Recruiting Manager Stephen Conole provided a brief update after Fletcher was selected.
“Jaspa is a terrific young man whose work ethic and leadership has been outstanding through his junior career with the Brisbane Lions Academy,”
“Jaspa has the skill set to develop into a genuine hybrid mid, he possesses a strong inside and outside game and continues to add to the list of talented young players on our list.” Conole said.
Fletcher also averaged 22.7 disposals, 3.7 marks and 3.0 tackles from 3 games in the 2022 U18 National Championships.

Fantasy Impact: Jaspa Fletcher will add quality depth to the midfield at Brisbane.
He is a well balanced mid that reads the play well, he can find open space when required and can be aggressive at stoppage situations.
The short term fantasy prospects are likely moderate, he will be eased into pre-season training in January after he was hampered by a back concern late in 2022. Brisbane are likely to be patient.

His long term prospects are likely quite good, he should be able to secure a midfield role with the potential of playing both inside and outside. His fantasy scoring rate should be solid.
Season long fantasy: Fletcher is unlikely to be available at Round 1, he’s a definite track over pre-season for rate of development. He should be able to adapt quickly at AFL level once he breaks through for a debut.
Single season draft leagues: He’s a pass in single season draft leagues, he may be one for the waiver wire.
DFS: His scoring rate should be solid on debut and is likely to represent excellent value at a low entry level salary.
