Playing DFS in pre-season games does come with a higher level of risk compared to the H&A season, players that are on limited minutes can set line-ups on fire instantly.

Identifying players that will play high game minutes is a crucial element in creating line-ups, second tier players attempting to push for selection in Round 1 can sometimes provide a better alternative than starting those high volume players.

Week 2 of the JLT Series should see the majority of teams set up with a view to Round 1 of the H&A season, premium players should see a bump in minutes played as well as aligning with primary roles.

🎯 Targets: Power v Kangaroos

📊 Travis Boak PA (DS $11,000 FWD, MB $7,500 FWD)

Port Adelaide were actually very poor recording just 346 Disposals in JLT 1 last week, Travis Boak was one of the better players for the Power scoring 89pts at a solid 1.22pts per minute.

An increase in midfield usage is likely for Boak this season especially with the absence of Ollie Wines, Boak averaged 21.9 Disposals last season but the 27 Disposals last week was a good start.

The Forward slot in DFS can provide plenty of volatility, if Boak can replicate last week then it would be one less concern for your line-up.

📊 Dom Tyson NM (DS $11,000 MID, MB $5,800 MID)

After stints at GWS & Melbourne Tyson was solid in his debut for Nth Melbourne last week, he recorded 27 Disposals and scored at 1.59pts per minute.

Nth Melbourne recorded 461 Disposals in JLT 1 against St Kilda last week (Rank 1), Jamie Macmillan accumulated a stack of Disposals across half back & will be absent from this game but Aaron Hall is likely to see an increase in minutes.

Port Adelaide wanted to play at one pace last week which created a fair amount of turnovers, if both those game styles hold up this week the return for Tyson could be decent.
