Playing DFS in pre-season games does come with a higher level of risk compared to the H&A season, players that are on limited minutes can set line-ups on fire instantly.
Identifying players that will play high game minutes is a crucial element in creating line-ups, second tier players attempting to push for selection in Round 1 can sometimes provide a better alternative than starting those high volume players.
Week 2 of the JLT Series should see the majority of teams set up with a view to Round 1 of the H&A season, premium players should see a bump in minutes played as well as aligning with primary roles.

🎯 Targets: Swans v Suns
📊 Jake Lloyd SYD (DS $11,000 DEF, MB $8,900 DEF)
Lloyd played just 65% time on ground last week for 99pts scoring at a rate of 1.52pts per minute, as the focus narrows for Round 1 his usage should increase in this game.
Lloyd will likely benefit from a few extra kick-in opportunities against the Suns, however Sydney defenders have not taken full advantage of the extra room outside of the goal square in 2 pre-season games (2 weeks ago against the Giants in a practice match & JLT 1 also against the Giants).
The game style for Sydney compliments the fantasy game for Lloyd, he averaged 96.0pts against bottom 6 teams last season which fell short of his 100.5 season average.

📊 Brayden Fiorini GC (DS $11,000 MID, MB $7,900 MID)
Fiorini scored 95pts last week in JLT 1 against the Bulldogs, more importantly he was able to put up that many points from just 53% time on ground at a rate of 1.79pts per minute.
Fiorini scored 100pts or more in 36.4% of games & 120pts or more in 27.3% of games last season which was impacted by injury, he is a high ceiling type player that will be part of the midfield group at the Suns.
If Fiorini is used for medium-high minutes against the Swans then he could be one of the highest scoring players in this game.
