Be prepared for another heavy dose of Patrick Dangerfield injury news this week, he played out the game after injuring his knee in the 2nd Qtr and was quite limited in his movement.
Round 7 provided plenty of obstacles for fantasy coaches with injuries, below par performances from premium players & for some a Captain tag placed on Dangerfield.
It will be another week of monitoring injury news for those that held Lachie Whitfield, Bye preparation should be a clear focus in the next few weeks.

Collingwood v Port Adelaide (MRVL)
Scott Pendlebury followed on from his solid Round 6 game with another outstanding game recording 36 Disposals for 126pts, Taylor Adams was injured early in the 3rd Qtr & Adam Treloar certainly accelerated as a result finishing with 120pts.
Tom Rockliff didn’t start in the middle of the ground and was treated for cuts to both knees in the first Qtr which may have impacted his output, he finished with just 69pts.
Melbourne v Hawthorn (MCG)
Max Gawn added another 46 Hit Outs in Round 7 for 121pts, Jay Lockhart provided some serious cover for those in desperate need scoring 100pts.
After a fast start Jaeger O’Meara was locked down, he recorded 11 Disposals in the 1st Qtr and finished with a game total of 19 Disposals for 83pts.
GWS Giants v St Kilda (MO)
Stephen Coniglio was shadowed mostly by Jack Steele for just 82pts, Jackson Hately (80pts) definitely has the potential to score but has sketchy job security.
Rowan Marshall bounced back after being a Late Withdrawal in Round 6 finishing with 113pts, he recorded 27 Hit Outs compared to 49 Hit Outs for Shane Mumford.
Brisbane v Sydney (Gabba)
Dayne Zorko enjoyed the wet & slippery conditions recording a game high 11 Tackles for 136pts, Lachie Neale (84pts) was well held by George Hewett for most of the game.
Conditions didn’t suit Jake Lloyd & a heavy knock early looked like a disaster, somehow he saved his score with a monster last Qtr finishing with 93pts.
Fantasy: AFL Debuts Round 7
Western Bulldogs v Richmond (MRVL)
Josh Dunkley found his way into the middle of the ground and discovered a decent ceiling, he recorded 35 Disposals for a career high 145pts.
Liam Baker top scored for the Tigers in Round 7 finishing with 96pts, Sydney Stack was the second highest scoring Tiger with 89pts. Injuries are providing opportunities everywhere at Richmond.
West Coast v Gold Coast (OS)
Andrew Gaff remains untouched this season gaining plenty of free ball on the outside, he added 35 Disposals & 144pts in Round 7.
Jarrod Witts recorded 60 Hit Outs for just 98pts, his ceiling is limited at times due to his low Disposal count.
Carlton v Nth Melbourne (MRVL)
It was a slow start for Patrick Cripps as he was shadowed by Jack Ziebell, he was outstanding in the 2nd Qtr & as the game turned into a no contest he finished off well for 111pts.
Back to back games for Jack Ziebell (105pts) playing pure midfield, based on the turn around in the middle of the ground for Nth Melbourne this is likely to continue for quite some time.
Geelong v Essendon (MCG)
The injury scare to Patrick Dangerfield early in the 1st Qtr was compounded by a whack to the back of the head by Cale Hooker & a heavy landing on his knee in the 2nd Qtr, as a result Danger rarely moved out of the Forward line for the rest of the game and was quite restricted in his movement. Prepare for Forward line cover this week just in case.
Zach Merrett wasn’t targeted by Geelong and found his was to 104pts with ease, that is now 4 consecutive 100pt games.
Adelaide v Fremantle (AO)
Matt Crouch recorded a game high 39 Disposals in Round 7 for 120pts, Rory Laird managed just 28pts in the second half for a total of 95pts.
Nat Fyfe excelled in a highly contested game recording 32 Disposals for 124pts, he is averaging 112.4pts in non-injury impacted game this season.
