Port Adelaide defender Riley Grundy has undergone surgery on his right knee, the injury was sustained in the Under 23 trial game against Adelaide on Saturday.

Grundy will miss the start of the season, he will be sidelined for an extended period.

“It’s disappointing for Riley, who has put together a really solid block of training in pre-season”

“Unfortunately, this surgery will delay the start to his season, but we’ll know more about the time frame for his return to training over the coming weeks.” Power Head of Medical Services, Tim O’Leary.

Grundy was selected at Pick 73 in the 2018 AFL draft. he is yet to make his AFL debut.
