Fremantle forward Cam McCarthy collapsed at training today, he was taken to hospital but was conscious prior to departing the club.
No diagnosis is available for McCarthy at this stage, Fremantle are due to fly out to the Gold Coast this Tuesday ahead of Round 2.
McCarthy would be considered questionable to play in Round 2, the Dockers will provide further updates in the coming days.
He’s in good spirits and being well looked after. He walked himself to the ambulance – Dockers Snr coach Justin Longmuir on Wednesday.

McCarthy averaged 11.3 Disposals, 4.1 Marks & 1.6 Goals from 12 games in 2019, he recorded 11 Disposals in Round 1.

Jesse Hogan is questionable to be available for Round 2, Sam Sturt is also dealing with a back complaint & now Cam McCarthy will undergo further tests in order to be deemed fit to return to training.
Mat Taberner will be the key forward along with Rory Lobb based on the health also for Sean Darcy in Round 2, the troubled forward mix at Fremantle may result in Michael Walters spending more time forward.
McCarthy did play a wing/half-forward type role in Round 1, Blake Acres, David Mundy & Nathan Wilson are expected to be available for the Dockers in Round 2.
McCarthy is not considered an option in season long fantasy.
