Richmond midfielder Trent Cotchin has been sidelined with a hamstring injury, he did not play in the last Qtr against Melbourne in Round 5.

The injury has been described as a hamstring strain.

The Tigers have ruled out Cotchin for Round 6, the club will likely provide updates in the coming days on his availability for Round 7.

The Cotchin injury likely opens up the possibility of coach Damien Hardwick accessing some of his young talent, Jack Ross would be a likely recall for Round 6 while Thomson Dow is likely to make his AFL debut in the coming weeks if not sooner.

Cotchin averaged 76.3pts from his opening 4 games, he was used at 75.3% of CBA’s over the same period.
