“Hayden had a right ankle injury and that’s been diagnosed as a syndesmosis injury,”

“Hayden’s had surgery on that and is at home recuperating at the moment, then he’ll go into a longer term rehabilitation.”

“I’m not sure exactly how long that will be, we are hopeful he will be back to play some football at the tail end of this season.” Dockers GM of Football Peter Bell.

Young averaged 12.3 Disposals, 4.0 Marks & 1.8 Tackles between Rounds 2-5.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

The injury to Young creates further volatility for fantasy coaches in defence, after averaging 67.5pts in Rounds 6-7 he is now sidelined for at least the short term.

Young is likely to be a trade out in season long fantasy unless the diagnoses is extremely good.
