AFL Fantasy News: Nick Daicos could be targeted by Essendon this week.
A large crowd is expected at the MCG this Sunday when Collingwood attempt to win their ninth consecutive game.
Coming off 40 disposals and 3 goals against Adelaide last Saturday Nick Daicos could play a big part in the planning for the Essendon coaching group.
Senior coach Ben Rutten acknowledged on Monday that Daicos will form a large part of their preparation.
“It’s going to be an interesting one for us.”
“Daicos is certainly one of the guys that we’re going to have to put a lot of attention into.” he said.

He was asked specifically whether Jye Caldwell could move away from his pure midfield role and move onto Daicos.
“That’ll be certainly be a discussion for us,”
“I think Jye is probably best suited in and around the ball on those guys (Lachie) Neale and Touk Miller the last couple of weeks.”

“He’ll be an interesting one for us to keep an eye on.” Rutten said.
Rutten was also asked if Matt Guelfi would take up the task across half-forward minding Daicos.
“He’s probably the other option for us.”
“Guelfi has had a breakout year for us.”

“Starting to do a lot of that defensive grunt work that a lot of those smaller forwards are renowned for,”
“So he’s also a possibility for us.” Rutten added.
