He was ultimately withdrawn after final teams were announced and approximately 25 minutes prior to the start of the game.

Whitfield will likely undergo further assessment to determine the severity of the injury.Â
Senior coach Adam Kingsley stated following the game on Sunday the upcoming bye in Round 13 will be a consideration determining Whitfield’s availability for this week. Â
Kingsley further added on Tuesday morning (via SEN) that Whitfield is every chance to return this week.
GWS has officially listed Whitfield as a test for round 12.Â

Whitfield averaged 29.7 disposals, 5.9 marks and 2.4 tackles prior to Round 11 (AF PPM: 1.25).
