Being on the wrong end of injuries or rookie scores can decimate a team very quickly, being on the opposite side with unique players can significantly propel a team in the right direction in overall ranking.

As we head closer to the Bye weeks it is important developing a balanced structure in the next couple of weeks, big moves in overall ranking can be made by identifying positive match-ups over the majority of the Bye rounds.

Round 7 Notable Performances (Good & Bad):

Patrick Dangerfield (AF: 109, SC: 108) again played a shared Fwd/Mid type role against the Giants, the return of Gary Ablett this week will again mix up the ever changing roles for a few key Geelong players. Stephen Coniglio (AF: 92, SC: 64) had his worst output for the year against the Cats in a 61pt defeat, that was kind of expected considering the amount of quality players out of the GWS team.

There is no stopping Jack Macrae (AF: 151, SC: 189) as he blasted Gold Coast for a season high 40 Disposals, Touk Miller (AF: 105, SC: 89) tried to disrupt Macrae with little impact. Jarrod Witts (AF: 131, SC: 114) had a career high 58 Hit Outs against the Bulldogs, Jarryd Lyons (AF: 61, SC: 48) had a poor week.

Zach Merrett (AF: 64, SC: 72) wasn’t able to break away from a James Cousins (AF: 43, SC: 44) tag, as the Bombers continue to fade the job Security late in the year for Brendon Goddard (AF: 73, SC: 89) decreases. James Sicily (AF: 135, SC: 145) rewarded very patient owners with a monster game in Round 7, he recorded a season high 29 Disposals & 14 Marks.

After 5 games of not doing much Jack Redden (AF: 138, SC: 134) has recorded consecutive impressive scores, the road ahead for West Coast is a lot tougher & owning Andrew Gaff (AF: 110, SC: 107) minus Luke Shuey could be a bit bumpy in the short term. Most Port Adelaide players had a poor week in Round 7 but Dan Houston (AF: 101, SC: 99) was a nice surprise, he recorded a career high 24 Disposals.

Josh P. Kennedy (AF: 122, SC: 151) could be back to his best after another solid outing in Round 7, Callum Sinclair (AF: 112, SC: 115) just keeps grinding out the consistent scores. Shaun Higgins (AF: 105, SC: 123) returned to normal duties after being knocked out in Round 5, Mason Wood (AF: 105, SC: 123) recorded 17 Disposals, 9 Marks & kicked 4 Goals in his first game of the year.

Matt Crouch (AF: 106, SC: 122) recorded an equal game high 32 Disposals with Rory Laird (AF: 100, SC: 120), Bryce Gibbs (AF: 100, SC: 95) recorded a season low 21 Disposals. Ed Curnow (AF: 137, SC: 136) set a career a high 14 Tackles in Round 7, he is averaging 8.7 Tackles per game this season (AFL Rank: 1).

Kane Lambert (AF: 104, SC: 120) has a few coaches considering making the move, he has averaged 25.5 Disposals from his last 4 games. A best on ground performance by Nat Fyfe (AF: 128, SC: 142) once again confirms he is in career best form, Adam Cerra (AF: 78, SC: 75) recorded a career high 18 Disposals in Round 7.

If the alarm bells weren’t already ringing for Jack Billings (AF: 66, SC: 67) they are now after another sub-par game, Seb Ross (AF: 121, SC: 107) recorded a season high 35 Disposals in Round 7. Michael Hibberd (AF: 104, SC: 99) has played his best 2 games of the season in the last 2 weeks at Etihad Stadium, Charlie Spargo (AF: 71, SC: 78) has averaged 16.5 Disposals in his first 2 career games.

Dayne Zorko (AF: 176, SC: 164) exploded for a season high 34 Disposals in Round 7, that was his first 30 Disposal game of the year. Brodie Grundy (AF: 111, SC: 100) scored his 6 consecutive 100pt game in both AFL Fantasy & SuperCoach, an injured Scott Pendlebury (AF: 72, SC: 63) is going to present owners with a trading problem this week.
