“Luke got a knock to the jaw on the weekend whilst laying a tackle.”

“At the time he was a little bit sore but he managed to play out the game.”

“He woke up on Monday morning though and he was quite sore through there so we got the area scanned.”

“What that’s shown is a small fracture through his jaw so he will have surgery on that in the next 24 hours and he will miss a few weeks of football.” Hawks Physical Performance Manager Luke Boyd.

Williams averaged 10.0 Disposals, 5.0 Marks & 4.8 Tackles from his opening 5 games in 2020.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

The injury for Breust will mix things up at the Hawks in the short term, although a threat in the forward Bruest has been used through the middle of the ground at times even attending the odd centre bounce.

Hawks coach Alastair Clarkson won’t hesitate in a team re-shuffle to cover for Breust, Jon Patton didn’t play in Round 4 and looks likely to return this week as a key forward.

For fantasy owners this is the time to be completely aware that Clarkson could shift the magnets around.
