Adam Treloar has been traded to the Western Bulldogs, he has played 173 career games with 94 at Collingwood.

“Adam’s been a great player for a long period of time and he’s got some attributes we’d love to add to our midfield group with his speed, power and ability to get away from the stoppage.”  Bulldogs GM of List & Recruiting Sam Power.

“For some time we have held the view that this year’s draft represents an excellent opportunity to address some of our needs. We think in the short term we can improve from within but we can also now strengthen the profile of our list for the medium and longer term. This deal improves significantly our ability to do that.” Collingwood List Manager, Ned Guy.

Treloar (Age: 27) has averaged 28.0 Disposals, 3.6 Marks & 4.9 Tackles from 173 career games, he played 10 games in 2020.

AFL FANTASY TAKE

Adam Treloar averaged 83.1pts from 10 games at the Magpies in 2020, he scored a season high 119pts in Round 7 against Geelong.

Treloar is moving to another high disposal team, the Magpies averaged 323.6 Disposals in the 2020 H&A season (Rank 1) while the Bulldogs averaged 310.7 Disposals (Rank 4).

There is some chance Treloar could be played more on the outside at the Bulldogs next season, Josh Dunkley was squeezed out of centre bounces in 2020 with the emergence of Bailey Smith & the return from injury of Tom Liberatore.

Treloar is an option at Round 1 in AFL Fantasy classic, expect his ownership to be low which could provide a good point of difference. Treloar remains an early round selection in all draft formats.
