There is clarity on the Stephen Coniglio role for the 2022 H&A season.
Giants senior coach Leon Cameron has stated this week Coniglio has trained a significant portion of the pre-season through the midfield.
Cameron also acknowledged he is willing to get Coniglio going early in the year on the back of a strong pre-season.
AFL News on Twitter @aflratings “Basically most of the pre-season, probably 80% of the pre-season it’s that midfield position.”
“But there’s no doubt when he’s fit and confident playing forward/deep forward has been a weapon for us as well in the past.”
“And we’ll continue to go down that path.”
“We’re probably experimenting a lot of our mids playing some forward roles as well.”
GAME DAY LIVE on Twitter @aflratings_Live “And Cogs is one of them, but equally we want to get his confidence back up which on the back of a really strong pre-season so he can hit the ground running from Round 1.” he said.
Coniglio averaged 14.7 Disposals, 2.0 Marks & 3.9 Tackles from 7 games in 2021.

Fantasy Impact: Stephen Coniglio averaged 60.7pts from 7 games in 2021, he recorded a season high 92pts in Round 2 against Fremantle.
All positive for Coniglio so far in pre-season coming off an injury interrupted 2021 season, his midfield role should provide a strong scoring output.
There will still be some forward usage as his secondary position.

Coniglio is a consideration for season long fantasy at Round 1 if he completes an uninterrupted pre-season, he is value based on his previous historical scoring output.
It’s worth pushing him up quite a few spots on your draft boards in single season draft leagues.
