There is an update on the role for Tristan Xerri this season.
According to Todd Goldstein on RSN this week Xerri is set to see an increase at the ruck position in the 2022 season.
The Kangaroos have available Xerri, Goldstein and Callum Coleman-Jones to run through the ruck position this season.

Goldstein said that he will spend more time forward in 2022 allowing for the development of Xerri & Coleman-Jones, but his forward usage was based on the team structure week to week.
“I think it’s going to change week to week depending on whether they (coaching staff) play 1, 2 or 3 of us talls, because I think that’s going to change week to week.”
“But I’ll definitely be spending more time forward.” he said.
Goldstein added that Xerri has performed well over pre-season and should move more into the ruck position in 2022.
“Tristan has had an incredible pre-season, the improvement that he’s shown since last year is truly incredible.”
“I think he’s definitely going to be playing some good minutes in the ruck and playing a lot of games this year.” Goldstein said.

Fantasy Impact: This could actually be a difficult spot to forecast long term on the ruck set up at the Kangaroos, it could be highly fluid throughout the year.
The positive is the future of Xerri and Coleman-Jones, but for the now if the coaching staff move back to just 2 players for any given week someone has to miss out.
Xerri is an option to start at Round 1 in season long fantasy, but keep in mind potential availability issues.
Senior coach David Noble has his eyes fixed firmly on the future, getting the timing right on Xerri from a fantasy perspective early in the year could prove to be difficult.
There is risk, but there is also excellent upside if he plays quite a lot in the No.1 position consistently.
