Rowston is a strong midfielder than can impact forward.
GWS National Recruiting Manager Adrian Caruso provided a brief update after Rowston was selected.
“He has shown capability to impact through the midfield and forward, and his strong footy brain mixed with competitive edge gives him a chance to develop into a key member of our team in years to come.” Caruso said.
Rowston also averaged 23.3 disposals, 4.8 marks, 2.3 tackles and kicked 3 goals from 4 games in the 2022 U18 National Championships.

Fantasy Impact: Harry Rowston will add midfield depth at GWS.
He can win his own ball in contested situations and impact forward, he has excellent vision and is strong in marking contests.
The short term fantasy prospects could be moderate, a new senior coach at GWS could provide opportunities but that is likely as a small/medium forward type role early in his career. His fantasy scoring output could be volatile.

His long term prospects could be pretty decent, if he develops well there could be a spot in the midfield long term at GWS which should provide a solid fantasy scoring output.
Season long fantasy: Rowston could have an impact in 2023, he’s a definite watch over pre-season for role and opportunity assessment. A likely small/medium forward role should be considered prior to committing.
Single season draft leagues: He’s likely a pass in single season draft leagues.
DFS: He is likely a consideration in favourable situations combined with a low entry level salary.
