He was used heavily through the midfield last season and still should be a feature through the middle of the ground in 2024.

He added that being a forward option has been a big part of his game throughout his career.
Bontempelli averaged 27.7 disposals, 4.4 marks, 7.5 tackles and 0.8 goals from 23 games in 2023.
He was used at 81.4% of team centre bounces.Â
Bontempelli underwent ankle surgery in early November and is yet to join main training this pre-season.Â
